Paleo is an incredibly popular lifestyle as of late, and the health benefits and positive effects are why!
There are many resources to help for Paleo beginners, and meal plans are extremely effective. It helps you by providing meals already planned out so that there is less of a chance to go outside the guidelines and ultimately you stay on track and continue to eat healthy. This meal plan is designed to help you start your Paleo journey, and for seasoned Paleo eaters it provides a great way to change things up and stay on track!
Additionally, there are recipes from some incredible Paleo books in this meal plan that can help anyone on their journey.
You’ll notice that some of the meals are marked with either (*) or (+). They refer to recipes from one of the two following books:
(*) denotes a recipe from Practical Paleo, a great book for anyone starting their Paleo journey and looking for some delicious recipes to use. For anyone wanting to get started on Paleo for health reasons, it also lays out some specific health plans that can help with certain medical conditions. There is a kindle version, but the paperback version is a great resource to have on hand especially because there are pages that you can tear out as cheat sheets to keep in your kitchen!
(+) denotes a recipe from The 21 Day Sugar Detox Official Program Guide. This book is slightly different, but has a few similar recipes and many others! It is a version of Paleo helpful for those who have a hard time separating themselves for sweets!
It’s important to note that while Paleo tends to be very protein and fat oriented and low carb, carbs aren’t explicitly banned. Things like sweet potatoes and fruits containing carbohydrates are definitely allowed and encouraged! It just so happens that most Paleo recipes are low in carbohydrates.
Pro Tip for sugar lovers: eating a breakfast high in fats (bacon, avocado, etc.) can help prevent sugar cravings throughout the day and make you feel more satisfied!
Also, be sure to check out our delicious Veggie Stuffed Omelet recipe that is also part of this Paleo Diet Meal Plan!
