- Time: 1 hour & 15 minutes
- Servings: 1
- Add 1 cup white chocolate baking chips to medium microwavable mixing bowl.
- Heat in microwave for 1 minute.
- Remove and stir with small spoon. Microwave for another minute or until completely melted, but make sure the chocolate does not burn.
- Remove and stir until chocolate is completely smooth and silky.
- Be certain that your plastic bunny mold has been cleaned and dried completely. If there are water or debris in the mold this will ruin the appearance of the chocolate bunny.
- Slowly pour, or spoon in, the white chocolate into front and back molds. Do not fill the mold to top, because you want to leave room for jelly beans. Remember, you are creating a hollow bunny!
- Tap the mold against your countertop to ensure any visible air bubbles at front of each mold are eliminated. Lift mold above your head to check for air bubbles.
- Once air bubbles are removed, tilt mold back and forth in order to allow chocolate to spread evenly and along sides. Next, take small spoon or unused paintbrush to spread chocolate onto sides and edges. Ensure sides are not too thin or they will break upon removal from mold.
- Place plastic bunny mold in freezer for approximately 30 minutes. Remove fromfreezer. Wear candy making gloves if you have them (to keep from leaving fingerprints on chocolate). Touch inside of mold to ensure it is solid.
- Place on countertop and gently pop front and back molds from plastic. Place on baking sheet or large plate.
- Add jelly beans to hollow center of front or back mold (do not fill both sides).
- Add ½ cup white chocolate baking chips to small microwavable mixing bowl. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds. Remove and stir with small spoon. If needed, microwave for another 30 seconds or until completely melted, but, again, make sure the chocolate does not burn.
- Remove and stir until chocolate is completely smooth and silky.
- Take small spoon or paintbrush and gently place small amounts of chocolate along the edges of front and back bunny molds.
- Take the side that is not filled with jellybeans and press it onto the other side, ensuring that edges match perfectly.
- Carefully place jelly bean filled bunny onto a plate and place into freezer for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from freezer. Touch edges to ensure mold is securely sealed.
- If you have a bumpy seam, take a small, sharp knife and gently etch away at the bumps along the edges. Be sure not to press too firmly or etch away at the chocolate too much or holes will form.
- Lightly dampen a paper towel and wipe away chocolate flakes at seam. You’ve done it – you have created a molded white chocolate Easter bunny filled with delightful jelly beans!

March 27, 2015 at 11:51 PMI just had to pin & share this very cool idea!! My daughter is having Easter at her house & I know she would love making these for the family. She always tries something new for each occasion. The kids will not only love the bunny, but they will love the fact that they are getting 2 different candies in one – without knowing it until that first bite!!
