Watermelon Feta Pineapple Fruit Skewers

The tasty combination of watermelon and feta cheese is nothing new. It’s a refreshing pairing that has a satisfying quality to it, and it’s been blended in salads, appetizers, and summer snacks many times before. Yet, I wanted to take it one step farther. Besides watermelon, my favorite fruit is pineapple. I love the bold flavor and endless recipe combinations! For today’s summer recipe feature, I’d like to share an easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for a cocktail party or a fun evening at home by the pool.

These fruit skewers require almost zero prep time (especially if you buy pre-cut fruit!), and they can be served immediately. They can also be customized to your unique tastes or party theme.

Fresh pineapple, watermelon, feta cheese, and mint come together to create a fun appetizer for all ages. My son is currently way into anything melon, so even he enjoyed the sweet fruit flavors paired with the cool mint.

Want to try this yourself? It’s pretty simple!

You can top these skewers with a dressing or sauce if desired. I use a Greek salad dressing that includes a vinaigrette made with olive oil and red wine vinegar. I enjoy these skewers both with a dressing and without. Other ideas I’ve seen are basil or a basil pesto sauce. You can also grill the watermelon before adding to the skewers. And, if you haven’t grilled fruit yet this season, what are you waiting for? It’s delicious!
