The Embassy Suites Hotel Difference…

Our recent stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel was by far beyond what we could've ever expected! We still talk about our experience there, and plan to stay at an Embassy Suites Hotel whenever possible during our travels. They are so accommodating, and overall family friendly – nothing like my initial thoughts that Embassy Suites were themed more for business and traveling professionals.

We arrived at the Embassy Suites Hotel LAX North on a Saturday afternoon. The moment we pulled up to the entrance of the hotel, we were greeted by a warm and smiling staff member who took our bags and brought them directly to our room. We then parked our vehicle in the garage where the cost to park was $23 each day (a common practice to pay for hotel overnight parking in California). The elevators were made of see-through glass and the hotel had very high ceilings and looked so open and inviting! When we checked into the hotel, it was very easy to register and we received our card keys in a matter of minutes. The Front Desk member explained the amenities and benefits to us, and we were excited to try them all out! Before going to our room, my family and I took a brief walk around the hotel to check out the facility and it's design and layout. Bright, airy, modern, and contemporary. I love how open everything was and that there were guests hanging out in the large den where later the Happy Hour and Continental Breakfasts would be served. There were fountains and other eclectic water features, and mini-bridges – such a peaceful ambiance!

Our room was by far the nicest I've seen in any hotel for a long time! So cozy, yet trendy and modern. I loved the openness and spaciousness. It was indeed made to comfort a traveling family!

Between the Living Room and the King Bedroom was the Wet Bar! Hooray for Wet Bars! For those of you parents that travel often with your children — you appreciate what I'm talking about! It comes complete with a sink, cups, coffee maker, mini fridge AND microwave! These seem like small details for many, but for parents with babies and toddlers – a mini fridge and microwave are a MUST for storing and warming food for our little ones!

The King Bedroom was fluffy and I sank right into the pillows and comforter like I was in a marshmallow puff! And the room had a cute mini balcony that had a neat view of Los Angeles and the gorgeous weather we got to experience.

I loved how clean and large the bathrooms were and you can tell was completely upgraded with granite, tile, and large modern shower heads. My favorite part of a nice hotel is enjoying the awesome shower and bathtub! After a long drive of traveling, a hot and relaxing shower really helps relax me.

After we settled in and freshened up in our room, we met the other guests downstairs for the nightly Manager's Reception! They offered snacks for everyone (including nachos, popcorn, chips, cookies, and more), fountain drinks for the kiddies, and a Bar that served FREE adult beverages. The nightly Manager's Reception time was from 5pm – 7pm, and all snacks and beverages (including adult beverages) were unlimited for the two-hour time window. Shortly after the nightly Manager's Reception, we walked a few steps towards their indoor pool! It was the perfect size and perfect temperature and not too crowded so all the children could enjoy the pool.

Once we got back, had dinner outside of the hotel and returned to our hotel room – the children were exhausted and passed out! They looked so peaceful and fit snugly and comfortably in the Living Room's queen size sofa. What a relaxing day, indeed! Job well done, Embassy Suites.

The following morning, we gathered the clan and headed downstairs for a TRUE continental breakfast buffet complete with omelettes made to order, waffle maker, cereal, toppings, toast, and potatoes! Thank goodness breakfast is served until 10:30am on Saturday and Sunday, because we woke up late and didn't get down there until 8:45am. Breakfast is served until 9:00am on weekdays. It was a busy and not too quiet breakfast for all, but was glad to see all the friendly smiles and other guests with all their children too. My children enjoyed interacting and playing with other guest's children and my husband and I got to meet some great people that traveled from all over the world! The continental breakfast really helped us get our day started right! Since check-out wasn't until noon, we were able to enjoy the last few hours we had in our Embassy Suites hotel. I will say, the experience has been amazing! The hotel General Manager was kind enough to call me and ask how my stay was, and was genuinely passionate about providing the level of hospitality service that so many hotels are lacking nowadays.
