The Best Buy Recycle Program

BestBuyRecycle2

Best Buy recognizes that technology is the fastest growing waste stream on the planet, and being that they are one of the world’s largest retailer of consumer electronics, they are making every effort they can to be part of the solution. They have created a program to encourage all consumers to get involved in helping to better our planet through recycling. Their industry-leading recycling efforts are now available for free, at all U.S. and Puerto Rico Best Buy locations. How does it work?

All we have to do is bring in our old or used electronics, no matter where we purchased it, or how old it is. Best Buy will recycle it by safely and responsibly disposing of them. Just to get an idea of their efforts and the size of this project, for every minute Best Buy stores are open, 387 pounds of electronics are being recycled! This is a huge step in making improvements to our environment, and this just made our part, as consumers, a lot simpler.

Also, did you know that Best Buy carries a whole line of Energy Star certified products? Recycle your old electronics and upgrade to more energy efficient ones. This will not only help the environment, but it will save you in costs in the future. To learn more about Energy Star certified products, visit the website.

If you have been involved in this effort, feedback and comments on your experience with this program would be greatly appreciated. The goal is to be able to encourage everyone who can participate, to do so, in efforts to contribute to the well being of our planet and our future.
