Summer Spritzer Recipe

It's time to cool off with a sweet summertime beverage that is perfect for the pool, patio or even brunch. Wine spritzers and sangrias are two of my favorite cocktails to make since they involve a lot of fresh fruit. Besides, you can't go wrong when you pair a fruity wine with a seasonal fruit. I've been experimenting with strawberries, oranges, and watermelons this season, but my favorite combination has been fresh Florida oranges and sweet white wine. My latest concotion pairs the sweet flavor of a sauvignon blanc and the crisp taste of a La Croix sparkling water.

I like to use La Croix sparkling waters as mixers since they are naturally sweetened and have no calories. They're an easy choice in the grocery store since they have a variety of flavors. I also used one of my favorite white wines and a splash of orange juice.
