Six months after getting the CoolSculpting treatment and I’m still seeing changes – I can’t even begin to tell you how many compliments I’ve received on how smooth and slim my body has been transforming into. There is definitely a difference that no one can deny.
Was it worth it?
YES! SO worth it! Especially with this being non-invasive and having little to no downtime, and only needing two treatments for my own personalized, customized plan. I know for a fact that other working moms and mom entrepreneurs understand me when I say how limited time truly is for us moms. We barely have enough time to shower, let alone take time out to recover from elective surgery. And I know this, because I had to take two weeks off from my own plastic surgery in the past with two toddlers. You’ll thank me later for the heads up on finding treatments that have little to no downtime.
I met with Toni at Illuminate Face & Body Bar to do my final follow-up and she was THRILLED with my results. We took more “after” photos and discussed how things have been since the final treatment, lifestyle changes, catching up on what I’ve been up to the last six weeks.
She printed out photos of my “before”, my results after one month, and my final results after three months. WOW! Just, wow!!! Do you see these photos??? Talk about significant results!!! The proof is in the photos!
If you’re reading about this for the first time now, I decided to make it a goal to give myself a mini “mommy makeover” and documented the steps on my blog and social media. As a side note – I did my research online and came across CoolSculpting a couple of months before and reviewed several before and after results and was intrigued with the CoolSculpting treatment process. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect to partner with them!
It was that Illuminate Face & Body Bar has two machines in their Las Vegas location and my treatment time was only 35 minutes! Since my customized treatment plan was to treat all 6 areas in one visit, Toni was able to treat those multiple areas, reducing the time it would’ve taken if there was one machine. Also, as an fyi, not all facilities have two machines and/or you may not necessarily need to use two machines, I’m only sharing my own firsthand experiences specifically at the Illuminate Face & Body Bar located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the CoolSculpting treatment, several non-invasive applicators were put on marked areas that delivered precisely controlled cooling to the treatment areas to specifically target underlying fat, leaving surface skin and other surrounding tissue unaffected. The science is that when fat cells are exposed to extreme cold, a process of natural removal is triggered, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. Reflecting back to my CoolSculpting experience…
CoolSculpting can treat several different areas on your body, including the submental area (under the chin, double chin), thighs (inner and outer), abdomen, flanks (love handles) bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as the banana roll), and my upper arms. The areas that were treated for me were my back and bra fat, flanks, and inner thighs (all stubborn areas I’ve dealt with for years).
I remember the feeling during treatment was very, very cold until the area became numb. Afterward, Toni massaged them for two minutes to help break up and kill the fat cells. My first and second treatments took a total of approximately two hours each (and that’s including the applications, massages, and restroom breaks in-between). I did experience some tenderness, swelling, numbness, slight bruising, and redness after my CoolSculpting treatments during the first few days – all expected and the discomfort was slight and honestly unnoticeable unless I touched those areas specifically.
The progression over the last five months have been amazing! Between several inches lost and areas looking smooth, I’ve been so impressed with CoolSculpting. I’ve gone from a dress size 10-12 in my waist to a dress size of 6-8, while also incorporating proportioned meal planning and consistent exercise to continue my journey to a healthier me. *Patients typically see a 20-25 percent reduction of fat in the treated area with results as early as three weeks. The most dramatic results are typically observed one to three months after treatment.
This was perfect for me, because we wrapped up season two of Total Mom Makeover early August and I wanted to make sure I was ready for production physically and mentally.
