No make-up selfies seem to be making a splash this summer. If you are anything like me, however, you probably don’t look selfie ready without any make-up. Fret not my dear readers, I will help you become ‘no make-up’ selfie ready! Here is my quick {under 5 minutes}, easy tutorial to the perfect no make-up look.
1. Get rid of those under eye bags with a full coverage concealer. Apply your concealer with a brush, start at the lash line {this brightens the eyes} and move toward the nose. Add dabs of concealer down the bag near the nose and blend. Blend the concealer from the lash line downward to meet the concealer by the nose. I use Time Balm Concealer from The Balm.
2. I have always used foundation, until this summer. I purchased a Summer Style pack from Sephora, which is essentially an array of travel sized samples. In it, I received a BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector, which is the bomb-diggity! It lends that perfect sun kissed glow with an SPF +25! BECCA rocks grown-up sparkle by toning it down to a barely-there tinted shimmer. A little of the Shimmering Skin Perfector goes a long way, though. I only use approximately half a pea sized dab, and it provides adequate coverage for my whole face. The secret to getting this superb cream to go the distance? Apply with a foundation brush! Add a small dot on your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin and use the brush to blend!
3. Next up? Well, eyes of course! Use a light pink eye shadow on your eyelids only. I use Cherry Fizz from Everyday Minerals–a little goes a long way. Mascara is an absolute must. They’re Real Mascara is amazing, it gives the illusion of long, lustrous eye lashes without having to line your eyes. For your bottom lashes, wiggle your brush at the base of your lashes, it’s magical!!
4. The finishing touch: lips. I like to use a soft beeswax chapstick and dip it into the Cherry Fizz eye shadow to give a perfect supple, tinted look. It doesn’t hurt that your lips are moisturized as well!!
I realize, this is a total cheat when it comes to the no make-up selfie, but if you think most people play by the rules, you may be mistaken. Rock a glowing natural look this summer. You will appear naturally stunning and glowing, and it only takes 5 minutes!
