I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, but I’ve been living in my home for the last 3-years and have had zero time to focus on my master retreat bathroom. It’s such a shame too, because I have this beautiful over-sized bathtub that’s been collecting dust in the corner of my bathroom. I’m not usually like this. I was once tidy, organized, and clean. But right now, I feel like I have allowed a dirty house to take over my life. But not anymore! NO! I will not live like this anymore! I think a part of me was so utterly disappointed with how far I let the mess go that I couldn’t stand it anymore and needed to make things happen. I decided to finally dust off the book I bought over a year ago on tidying up called: “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing” and read every page. I couldn’t put the book down – it sparked this fire within me to get back on track. And so, I did. And this is where the battle of total home makeover vs. The It Mom began…
The very first room we focused on for our home makeover was our dreaded and boring master bathroom. I haven’t used our bathtub once the whole time we’ve been living in this home the last three years. And as a working mom, I used to love to unwind with a hot bubble bath and good book after a long, stressful day at the office. Imagine that — no quiet, me-time for me in the bathtub for THREE YEARS.
The bathroom was super empty and cold looking – and it needed furniture badly (just like every room in the house, your bathroom has needs too). And it needed a good scrub and deep clean — especially the bathtub! When I unboxed the package, I immediately began using all the new Clorox® Scentiva™ products.
