Are you looking for that perfect cupcake? One that taste like it was made by a professional and just has a little more to it then a box cupcake? We all love the fluffy cupcakes but we sometimes enjoy a cupcake with let's say some “meat” to it. Try this Dense Vanilla Cupcake recipe out and top it with your favorite candy. The cupcake is perfect for just about anything and why not spread some random love at the office with a fulfilling cupcake treat that will have everyone asking for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of room temperature butter
  • 3/4 cup of vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 5 eggs at room temperature (can achieve this by placing eggs in warm water for 5 minutes)
  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tea spoon of baking powder
  • 3/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla

First you want to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure the oven is nice and hot before you put the cake inside. Start by creaming together the butter and sugar. Add in the vanilla.

Then add in half of your flour. Now you want to mix in your shortening, eggs, salt, baking powder, and follow with the est of your flour. Then add your 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream.  Mix until a smooth texture and pour into your cupcake liners.

Place in the oven on the middle rack for about 25-30 minutes or until your tooth pick comes out clean.

You have to let the cupcakes sit and cool completely before icing them. You can top then with your favorite icing and candy. Last but not least enjoy them and share!

    Hey! Mine turned out tasting delish, however the middle completely sunk in. I assume this is something I did wrong? Any idea what it could have been?
