Looking for something fun to do with the family this week? Come check out Paddington Bear in his new movie, Paddington 2 coming to theaters Friday, January 12! Paddington 2 stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington Brown, Hugh Grant as the villain Phoenix Buchanan and Hugh Bonneville as Henry Brown, along with an amazing cast. It's filled with adventure, drama and comedy. Rated PG, it's the perfect movie to watch for both parents and kids!
My family and I recently attended the press release of Paddington 2 in Hollywood, CA and we had such an amazing time. Watching the movie and meeting some of the cast members was memorable. I can't stop talking about the movie because it had me laughing and unexpectedly crying too! I definitely recommend it to everyone. It a movie that will keep you entertained the entire time.
Just a little bit about the movie. The story takes place in London where Paddington Bear lives with the very loving, Brown family. Life seemed perfect for him there. He created a very pleasant and happy atmosphere in the community of Windsor Gardens where he is loved by everyone! Well, almost everyone. As the movie develops, Paddington Bear, or should I say Paddington Brown, gets into some very serious trouble (at no fault of his own) which came with some very serious consequences! He finds himself in prison and the story just gets more interesting from there. However, as the movie progresses, we get to see a lot of good come from a bad situation. By the end, you can't help but feel happy inside!
After we watched the movie, we had the opportunity to have tea time and pastries with some awesome people. The kids got to decorate their own Paddington Bear cookies, courtesy of Jenny Cookies and we got to take photos with Hugh Grant and Hugh Bonneville. It was an awesome day for all!
I loved this movie because aside from being so entertaining and having a very touching ending, there were lessons to be learned throughout. It reminded us to always see the good in people – what Aunt Lucy always say according to Paddington. It also shows the value of friends and family and to always fight for what we believe in. I am so glad my kids had the chance to watch Paddington 2 because I'm sure they picked up on the lessons it taught.
So don't miss out on this new Paddington 2 movie, January 12! You will definitely enjoy it because it's one of those “feel good” films that have you and your kids talking about it even way after it's over. In the words of my daughter, “This is my new favorite movie!”
