Not only is UP stylish, but it also helps me keep track of the activities in my busy lifestyle. There are some great features that you’ll appreciate as a parent constantly on-the-go, and the last thing we need are a bunch of apps to keep track of what we eat and drink, how we exercise, and whether we’re getting enough sleep. Too much tracking causes burnout for me – I end up with the “why bother?” mentality.

It only took a few minutes to get my UP by Jawbone set-up. The first thing I did was download the free UP app on my iPhone. Once it downloaded, I created my account profile and simply followed the step-by-step process on my iPhone app and it walked me through how to get my UP working, user guides, and “what if?” scenarios. It taught me everything I needed to know on how to get this gadget functioning properly so it is an effective tool I can use daily.

Your goal is to walk 10,000 steps and when you integrate the foods you eat and your exercise, it helps to achieve an active lifestyle that you were meant to have. Being idle is a big no-no, and it tracks that too. It’s all about awareness and knowing more about yourself so that you can take preventative measures with your health, mood, and overall well being. The one thing I learned about myself is that I don’t get enough sleep – I’m averaging only 4-hours of deep sleep each night! Yikes!

It suggests you sync your UP twice a day, and that’s the only time you should take it off. You can shower and work out with it! And when you sync it, all you have to do is turn your app on and plug your UP band into your phone and voila! The other two things I love with my UP is that you can log your water intake (which should be 8 – 16 oz glasses of water each day) and it can also sync with apps such as MyFitnessPal (which is my all-time favorite app for tracking my foods). I am absolutely loving this app, and learning so much more about myself each day! With my hypertension and anemia that I’ve been treating, I really wanted to make sure I take the necessary steps to take care of my body and mind. UP by Jawbone has given me insight to…well, me. Right now, you can buy the UP by Jawbone too for $129 at Best Buy.

Thats pretty nifty looking although a bit pricey. I do like it though alot.

Does it sync with an IPad/IPod or just an Iphone? If its only a phone it is kinda of limited. And does it work if you dont have web on your phone ??

It’s an app that I downloaded from the App Store for Apple for UP. So it should be able to sync with iPad. Not sure about iPod though!
