Shop locally in Las Vegas for Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday (SBS) is coming up soon! It’s an event that locally owned businesses everywhere look forward to and celebrate each year. SBS is held annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and is an excellent way to support businesses in your own community and to keep some of your holiday dollars local! Las Vegas has an amazing host of locally owned businesses, and we’re proud to support them on this day and year round! This year’s Small Business Saturday is slated for November 26th, 2016.

SBS was started by American Express in 2010. It has continued to grow into a widely celebrated phenomenon! Millions of Americans celebrate and shop on Black Friday, spending their holiday budget. The premise behind SBS is for people to save a portion of their holiday budget to shop locally in their own community.

Dollars that are spent locally, especially at small, locally owned businesses, help your community. Not only do they help your community, but by shopping small, you help business owners put food on their tables, send their children to piano lessons, and much more. Studies have shown that if you spend $100 at a locally owned business, $68 of those dollars STAY LOCAL. If you spent that same $100 at a non-local company, only $43 of those dollars would stay in your community. That’s a big difference!

Besides all of these wonderful reasons to shop local, many business owners have made a holiday out of SBS! There are sales, giveaways, treats, prizes, activities and more at businesses right in your home town! Not only will items be on sale, but you will have fun shopping too! It’s all the fun of Black Friday without the crazy long lines, and a ton more customer service.
