5 Tips for Increasing Your Blog Income

Increasing your blog’s income isn’t as difficult as you might think! Follow these simple tips and you’ll be rolling in the dough in no time!

Okay, so that isn’t entirely true – blogging is never an easy way to make tons of cash overnight. However, if you put the work in, the rewards will all be worth it in the end. Many blogs make insane amounts of income (like $100,000+ a month), why can’t yours make at least a portion of that?

Sponsored posts. I love sponsored posts, because I get to choose the perfect brands that fit with my readership (that’s you guys!). Places like Massive Sway, Mom Central, and Social Fabric all pay upwards of $100+ per post. $100 might not seem like a lot, but if you do 5 a month that’s $500 – and that’s on the low end. Many sponsored posts will pay $300 or more! Be selective with which ones you choose to do, though, or your site will be too watered down to be valuable to sponsors for much longer. A good rule of thumb is to do no more than 25% sponsored content.

Higher traffic. Increasing blog traffic is the result of a simple formula: create high-quality content (and images!), and share them via social media. Pinterest and StumbleUpon are amazing when it comes to traffic, so target them first. Also, read 99 Ways to Increase Blog Traffic!

Ads. Whether you use AdSense, BlogHer, Glam, or another ad network, ads can be extremely profitable if you have a nice amount of traffic flowing in. Depending on your niche, you could make hundreds – or even thousands – each month from ads.

Affiliates. While you don’t want your blog to be spammy, signing up with a few affiliates that fit well with your brand is a great way to earn some extra money with your blog. You probably already shop on Amazon, right? And you probably already mention that to your readers, right? Mentioning Amazon products and using your affiliate link is a natural way to include a money-making resource in your blog posts.

There are many affiliate programs out there. I recommend picking a few, and sticking with them for a bit before adding more. Places like ShareASale, E-Junkie, Commission Junction, and Escalate Media are just a few that have hundreds of different programs and affiliates available in one place, so check them out!

Products. Selling products might not be your cup of tea, but if you’re a blogger, chances are that you have enough information to put together an ebook to sell. Right? Right. So, package your knowledge in some type of infoproduct (ebook, PDF, e-courses, webinars), and market it to other bloggers – or to your readers.

The most difficult part for me is to generate traffic. I find it so difficult to have a fair amount of traffic though I have been trying a lot for it.

If anyone has some good clues, pls help share to new bloggers like me….Thanks.

I have just started blogging so I obviously am not making any money right now but I hope that one day I will be able to monetize! I agree, the hardest part is getting traffic to your blog!
