Have you ever received a gift knowing that the person did not think it through and they totally rushed to buy it last-minute? Now let’s look at both perspectives…have you ever purchased a gift last-minute without thinking through whether they would like it, just to have SOMETHING, anything, to give?! I’ll admit, I am a habitual last-minute gift purchaser and I have often failed at buying an epic gift for someone because I was too rushed to think it through. This oftentimes happens when we have to travel on the road for the holidays, because we are already scrambling to our destination with four kids and a dog.
When I was a kid growing up in Dallas, I used to have lunch with my family on Sunday afternoons after church service. One of my absolute favorite restaurants we would eat at was Cracker Barrel. I remember Cracker Barrel having a fun store where there were trinkets and unique finds but I never paid too much attention to it until I became a mother and had children of my own.
I partnered with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store to challenge the last-minute shopper side of me into purchasing thoughtful, fun, and unique gifts for the people who matter most to us. I was elated to have the opportunity to visit a Cracker Barrel store because I have so many happy memories of Cracker Barrel as a kid and wanted to bring my children there to experience the magic and positive vibes I felt when I was a child. So, needless to say, when Cracker Barrel recently opened a location in Las Vegas only a few miles away from my home, I was ecstatic! YAY!
As soon as I entered the store, I felt like I was in a whole different world away from the hustle and bustle of life. It was a very cold day and walking into a Cracker Barrel felt so much like…home.
The smell, the feeling of warmth and coziness, the friendly buzz all around – it brought back so many joy-filled memories of my youth and being with my mom and dad. I was greeted with warm smiles from their friendly and attentive staff, and there were SO many overwhelmingly great products in their retail shop.
It had me thinking about families who are always on the go, and even travelers who are on the road that find themselves in the same predicament of last-minute gift shopping. Whenever we traveled from Las Vegas to California or from Dallas to Houston, I would’ve loved to have the convenience of a store like the Cracker Barrel to shop for all my last-minute gifts on the way to my destination(s). I’m all about making everything effortless, easy, and quick. And with all the Cracker Barrel stores located just off the interstate, I can’t think of a better place to shop when I’m road tripping or going just down the street.
Shopping at Cracker Barrel is great because the stores offer different, unique items that you won’t find anywhere else – it’s like knowing about a secret menu at your favorite restaurant! And if you need to find a place to stop by to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner, then you can eat at the Cracker Barrel restaurant and enjoy all that they offer with their yummy, delicious, scrumptious southern home cooking! You can then do all your Christmas holiday shopping afterward at one of the 640+ Cracker Barrel locations. And if you have more time to shop, you also have the option to shop online at CrackerBarrel.com!
We found ourselves shopping for a couple of hours just awe-consumed with the shelves and shelves of unique ideas that flowed so easily in my head as I ran through the very, very, VERY long Christmas list of family and friends I still needed to buy gifts for. They literally have something for everyone…
