Create a DIY Mommy and Me Bath Time Kit Baby Shower Gift

There is something definitely in the water this year! There are more friends and family members pregnant than my fingers can count. It is seriously unreal! I was getting tired of buying gift cards and buying the same ole’ same ole’ baby shower gift. I wanted to be creative and unique with my baby shower gifts. I want my girlfriends and family to remember me when they always see my gift and that I took the time out to make something original and exclusive only for them. The only way to do this…is DIY-style! And for this special DIY baby shower gift project, I’ve partnered with JOHNSON’S® to help me create something uber cute and memorable!

As a mom of four, I remember my baby showers were so cute and themed and we spend so much time preparing and planning for our baby’s arrival. In the meantime, our bodies change and we’re worn out from either morning sickness, fatigue, being up and about with an extra 30lbs of weight for several months. It is not easy carrying a life in your belly and I felt like I really needed a spa day! But who has time for that when you’re a new mom?! New babies mean #TeamNoSleep and I wanted to be considerate and understanding of these things before I crafted by baby shower gift idea.

It became very apparent that now that when my baby arrived, the lack of sleep, the fatigue, the feeling of our bodies changing rapidly as we deal with postpartum changes, and being in the house around the clock meant needing a moment of solitude and to get myself back to feeling good. So I created this super cute Mommy and Me Bath Time Kit made for both the mommy and baby in mind!

Thanks to the help of JOHNSON’S® unveiling their newly designed product bottles, sold exclusively at Target, I used the green NO MORE TANGLES® product line! It includes JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® baby shampoo & conditioner for thin & straight hair and the bottle comes in a super cute gender neutral color and I love the design — green and chevron!

Here are the products I used that you can easily recreate on your own (no superhero DIY craft skills required):

Mommy and Me Bath Time Kit Product Checklist:
1- Medium-Sized Wicker Basket (your color of choice)
1- Set of Pink Organic Cotton Towels (small, medium, and large) for Mom
1- Set of Your Color Choice of Organic Cotton Towels (small, medium, large) for Baby
1- Yellow Rubber Ducky
1- Set of Bath and Spa Gloves (Choose a color that coordinates well with the other colors)
1- Silicone Bath Massager (Choose a color that coordinates well with the other colors)
1- Package of Fringe confetti paper (or tissue paper formed into puffy round balls as a substitute)
2- Bottles of JOHNSON’S® green NO MORE TANGLES® (in their newly designed bottles)
1- Pink or Blue Stick-On Gift Bow

How-To Create the Mommy and Me Bath Time Kit:
Step One – Place fringe confetti paper at the bottom of your wicker basket

Step Two – Add the yellow rubber ducky, bath and spa gloves, and bath massager towards the front of the wicker basket.

Step Three – Roll up your towels and group them together (baby’s towels on one side and mommy’s towels on the other side of the wicker basket).

Step Four – Place the two (2) bottles of JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES®baby shampoo & conditioner in the front center.

Step Five – Arrange all products neatly and then stick gift bow to the front of the wicker basket to finish off your gift!
